Handling of Personal Information
JGA Tax Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “the Firm”) recognizes the necessity and importance of protecting personal information as a business operator handling personal information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”). The Firm complies with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and other norms relating to personal information (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Laws and Regulations”) and strives to properly protect personal information.
1.
Acquisition of Personal Information
The Firm acquires personal information through lawful and appropriate means.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information

Provision of the Firm’s services (including procedures to confirm independence, conflicts of interest and similar matters)
(2)
Distribution and sending of the Firm’s newsletters and email magazines (including those delivered via the Firm’s website or by email)
(3)
Distribution, sending and operation of information on the Firm’s seminars, events and similar programs
(4)
Distribution and sending of information on the Firm’s services, publications, greeting cards and similar materials
(5)
Implementation of questionnaires, surveys, statistical analysis and similar activities
(6)
Responding to various inquiries
(7)
Recruitment selection and subsequent human resources management of employees and staff (including officers and all other individuals engaged in work for the Firm, regardless of title)

Comprehensive risk management based on the need for legal compliance, quality control and similar requirements

Joint Use of Personal Information
The Firm may jointly use acquired personal information within the scope of the purposes set out above.

Names, titles/positions, places of employment/affiliations, ages, addresses/places of residence, email addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers, and any other personal information obtained by the joint users in connection with their services and operations.

4.
Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
As a general rule, the Firm does not provide acquired personal information to third parties, except in cases prescribed by Laws and Regulations or in cases where it is deemed that the individual concerned has given consent in line with the intent of such Laws and Regulations.
5.
Procedures for Requests for Disclosure, etc. of Retained Personal Data
If the Firm receives a request regarding personal information it retains—such as a request for disclosure, correction or other action—pursuant to the Act, the Firm will respond appropriately in accordance with the Act and other applicable Laws and Regulations.
